Event Design & Styling

HELLO,

My name is Eleni and I am the Event Designer & Stylist at Kipo Kalou for the last 16 years.

Event Design & Styling

As an Event Stylist, our team and I take care of the aesthetic outcome of your event. In short, we are responsible for everything that can affect the appearance of your wedding and its overall aesthetic.

The styling and coordination services we offer are ideal for couples who do not need full event management (wedding planning), but still require help with the overall design and coordination of the day’s events.

As your creative helpers, we will ensure that your wedding day has your personal touch, focusing on details and your authentic style. We take the time to get to know you, allowing us to design a unique and appropriate concept that truly tells your story.

If designing a beautiful wedding and having a high aesthetic is a priority for you, then yes! All those amazing photos you see on Instagram and Pinterest are not random but require months of planning and expertise. Having a stylist whose sole job is to make sure your event checks all the right boxes when it comes to decor definitely helps you realize your vision for this day.

The difference between a Wedding Planner and a Wedding Stylist is often easily confused, so it’s important to be clear about what each role entails, helping you decide which one you actually need.

A wedding planner can also function as a wedding stylist if they have experience in both event organization and creative styling. Specifically, however, a Wedding Planner is a professional who works with you to ensure that all practical details, logistics, and contracts you need to sign are controlled and delivered smoothly from beginning to end, while a Wedding Stylist works purely to make your day visually unforgettable. Wedding planners are responsible for gathering all the elements that make up a wedding day, from finding and connecting with venues, managing wedding vendors, supervising the guest list and RSVPs, to creating and managing the wedding budget.

The role of a Wedding Stylist is purely aesthetic and does not involve things like negotiating contracts or attending appointments with the bride, and certainly does not include budget management. In addition, we like to believe that the role of a stylist goes far beyond decorating a space…we believe it covers the entire aesthetic. From observing and correcting small details captured by the photographer’s camera, to moving objects that do not fit in a space, styling all stationery (invitations, favors, etc.) and personal items for the photographer, and generally, a wedding stylist works tirelessly to ensure that your wedding photos look like they were taken from a magazine!

Sometimes, but not often, a wedding planner hires a wedding stylist to ensure a holistic approach to your day. However, in many cases, the wedding planner himself takes on the styling of your event, having an overall perspective of the event.

If you are one of those couples who excel in decoration and know how to move around an event venue, then what you need for that day is a coordinator who will free your hands and help you enjoy your wedding without worries. Our coordinators ensure that your wedding day runs as smoothly as possible, so you don’t have to worry about ANYTHING, except being present and in the moment.
